Our story
Refine Dance Studio, founded by Briana Fallon in July 2020, is located on Route 1 North in Danvers, MA. We offer a wide range of dance classes for students across the North Shore of Boston, welcoming everyone from preschoolers to adults. Our programs include various styles, such as ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and more, designed to nurture each dancer's unique connection to movement and music.

Meet the Team

Briana grew up a gymnast turned dancer from Danvers, MA. She trained at Yellow Jackets Gymnastics where she competed for 10 years on their team. At 13, Briana made the switch from gymnastics to ballet dancing at Gene Murray School of Dance in Salem. In high school, she traveled to Boston dancing at Jeannette Neill Dance Studio in their youth company, Boston Youth Moves, training 5-8 hours a day, 6 days a week. There, she had the great privilege to dance for legends like Chita Rivera, Mitzi Gaynor, Baayork Lee, Richard Gere, and Tommy Tune. Briana attended The Ailey School at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York City at 16 for their summer intensive. She later graduated cum laude with a BFA in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory.
After college, Briana moved to New York City to pursue her musical theatre and dance career. She was given the opportunity to work Off-Broadway on two productions, Anything Goes and Funny Face, as a performer in the ensemble/dance captain. On top of performing in the city, she choreographed for New York Theatre Barn’s Choreography Lab and traveled to 20+ states as a national dance competition judge. Briana has performed at top regional theatres across the country like North Shore Music Theatre, Theatre by the Sea, and Arts Center of Coastal Carolina to name a few.
Briana is a proud member of two unions, the Actor’s Equity Association and Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
In 2019, Briana moved back to her home state to work as a full-time performer, director, choreographer, and dance teacher in the North Shore/Boston area. She has performed in numerous productions at North Shore Music Theatre, Mamma Mia! and Disney's Mary Poppins ranking as some of her favorites. In addition to performing at NSMT, Briana has worked as an assistant director/choreographer on several productions, most recently, A Christmas Carol.

David grew up in San Mateo, California just south of San Francisco. Born into a theatre and music-driven family, David started tap dancing at a young age and loved it instantly. He studied tap, ballet, and jazz throughout his youth at Dance Arts Center, with an emphasis in tap. David drove to the city of San Francisco every week for private tap lessons with the world-renowned tap and Joffrey Ballet dancer, Sam Webber.
David moved to the east coast for college where he pursued his BFA in Musical Theatre at Rider University. Throughout the summers in college, he performed at regional theatres across the country including Forestburgh Playhouse, and Gateway Playhouse under the direction of Randy Skinner. On top of regional theatres, David also studied at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival with famous choreographers like Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton) and Chet Walker (Pippin).
Upon graduating, David moved to New York City to pursue his musical theatre career. He continued his work regionally at North Shore Music Theatre, Fingerlakes Musical Theatre Festival, and The Palace Theatre. While living in NYC, David had the great pleasure of performing Off-Broadway in Anything Goes.
David moved to the North Shore of Massachusetts and continues to share his skills as a tap teacher in the area.

Kayla Ostrowski is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and visual artist. In 2015, she moved to New York City to study at Marymount Manhattan College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a minor in Photography. During this time, she was also fortunate to have trained with many respected educators including Sidra Bell, Shannon Gillen, Teddy Tedholm, Marcus Schulkind, Jenn Freeman, and David Parsons.
Kayla has set her own choreography on Marymount Manhattan students, as well as on the company dancers of the Boston Community Dance Project, with whom she trained under the direction of Sarah-Katarina ‘SKooJ’ Clark as a company member beginning in 2013 and continues to work with as a guest artist. She has performed at the Park Avenue Armory, Dixon Place, Steps on Broadway, Carnival Choreographer’s Ball, Museum of Ice Cream, Liberty Hotel Boston, and as a part of the Table of Silence Project at Lincoln Center.
At the start of the 2020 pandemic, Kayla returned to Massachusetts where she originally began her training at the age of three. Over this past year, she has enjoyed teaching and choreographing for various local studios, assisting remote technique classes for her alma mater, performing with Refine Dance Company, and keeping up with her own movement practice. Though she misses the stage, Kayla is grateful for time spent educating the next generation. A forever student with an unmatched dedication to dance, she strives to always continue learning and sharing.
Kayla is also CPR certified by the Red Cross.

Serena is a professional dancer, entrepreneur, and teacher. Having been dancing her whole life, she decided to move to Los Angeles right after graduating high school to pursue her career as a professional dancer. In four short years she danced on world tours, in movies, commercials, television shows, award shows, music videos all for Demi Lovato, Iggy Azalea, Brittney Spears, Jason Derulo, Becky G, Chris Brown and MANY more! Along her journey she also created The Zello Brand, her clothing line, and became an ambassador for Puma, Reebok, Under Armor and Fabletics. Her most recent work you may see her in is the Christmas feature film "Spirited" with Will Farrell and Ryan Reynolds.

Savana is a professional dancer, entrepreneur, and teacher. Having been dancing her whole life, she decided to move to Los Angeles right after graduating high school to pursue her career as a professional dancer. Chantal is a dance educator, adjunct professor of dance and choreographer. She received her BFA in Dance Performance from the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Performing Arts under the direction of Stephen Pier. Upon graduation, Chantal joined Boston’s contemporary dance company Urbanity Dance where she performed professionally for two years before stepping into the inaugural role as choreography fellow. Under the direction of Besti Graves, Chantal had numerous opportunities to dance, choreograph and collaborate with other artists in Boston, New Hampshire and New York City. Most notable, her work “The Run Before THE Run” premiered at Urbanity’s Spring Concert and was the featured work for the company in the 2019 Boston Contemporary Dance Festival. The Boston Globes Karen Campbell described her work as “(t)he evenings one piece with a genuine spark of clever levity (...)’
Other notable commissions include Endicott College’s Faculty Showcase (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023), Boston’s Liberty Hotel Halloween and New Years Eve events (2013, 20214, 2015) and Urbanity Summer Intensive promotional video (2019).
Currently, Chantal is on staff as an adjunct professor of dance at Endicott College serving as the professor for modern and contemporary dance studies, pursuing freelance choreographic opportunities and a holistic health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

Stephanie Dunker grew up in southern Louisiana, where she began her dancing career. Since the young age of 3, dance has been her passion. When she was 14, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and attended The School of Nashville Ballet. While attending, she had the honor of performing numerous roles in The Nutcracker, like Snow, Flowers, and Russian, and also Serenade, a Balanchine ballet. Stephanie finished her time at Nashville Ballet at the pre-professional level. For college, she attended East Tennessee State to study Biology and then at New England College of Optometry here in Boston. Since then, Stephanie is now living in Massachusetts, has gotten married, had two beautiful children, got a dog, and begun dancing again at Refine after the pandemic. Stephanie has recently been featured in Refine's original production, The Nutty Suite: A Jazz & Tap Nutcracker as the Doll, and is now a part of the Refine Dance Company. Stephanie is so excited to join Refine's staff to share her love for dance and educate the community with her vast ballet knowledge.

Sue began her dance teaching career at the age of 15 at the LaPierre School of Dance. Early on in her professional career she became a faculty member at the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio and Boston Youth Moves, where she remained inspired by many passionate dancers. In 2014, Sue retired after a 37 year career of performances, instruction, and choreography. She continues to share her valuable experiences and dynamic lyrical choreography through master classes and workshops.

Victoria is a dance teacher/choreographer from Boston who grew up dancing from the age of 5 and got her B.A. in dance from Brigham Young University where she was a part of many companies including “Dance Ensemble.” She is very passionate about teaching dance and spreading her love for it with the younger generation. Since moving back home after college she has taught at many local dance studios, camps, and drama programs. As a performer she has worked for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida for about 4 years and Disney Cruise Lines for two contracts (Magic and Fantasy) where she did both in parades and stage shows. She has also performed in a few local musicals including A Christmas Carol with Emerald City Theatricals where she played the Ghost of Christmas Future, and has also been a part of local dance companies such as DanceWorks Boston and Boston Community Dance Project.

Chloe Castellano is a rising dance and musical theater artist. She began seriously studying dance and theater during her freshman year of high school and has been performing and taking classes ever since. Chloe joined Refine winter of 2020 and has been a Company member for two years. Outside of Refine, Chloe’s dance education has included dancing at her high school public dance program and company, Dimensions in Dance (Manchester, NH), Ovation Theatre Company (Londonderry, NH), New York Film Academy (NYC), Broadway Dance Center (NYC), and Endicott College. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts with a minor in Exercise Science. Chloe has also performed in several community and regional productions across New England. Most recently she was seen at Theatre by the Sea in their 2022 productions of Footloose and Cinderella. She has enjoyed experimenting with dance education over the last few years in settings such as shows, the classroom, and masterclasses, and is now excited to join the Refine staff to expand her teaching skills.

Gabrielle White was born an raised in Wakefield, MA and started dancing at the age of 4. This love of dance was solidified in middle school with her participation in school musicals. In high school, Gabrielle earned the roll of a Featured Dancer in all productions from her freshman to senior year and was awarded the position of dance captain in her senior year.
In high school she was also a 7 season Colorguard Captain and Featured dancer/soloist for her school’s marching band. After high school, she began taking lessons at the North Shore Music Theatre and has been a member of Refine since the studio’s opening. She also found community theatre and began doing shows again, such as Chicago as Lipshitz and Legally Blonde as Pilar.
At the age of 15, Gabrielle became a gymnastics coach and discovered a passion for teaching and training children along with her passion for performance. Gabrielle has been an assistant and substitute teacher at Refine since the studio’s opening and has begun teaching at the St.Mary’s school. She hopes to continue teaching and have the opportunity to watch her students improve and grow!
During her years at Refine, Gabrielle has had the opportunity to perform at Walt Disney World, the Hawthorne Hotels Halloween Ball, as well as Refine’s annual concerts and Refine’s original production of The Nutty Suite as an Apprentice in the Company. She looks forward to the New Year as a full time Company Member.

Brittany grew up and still resides in Peabody, MA. She started dancing at the age of 4 at Helene Joy School of Dance, where she was a member of the competitive company until she went off to college. Brittany graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s in accounting from Endicott College. During her time at Endicott, she was involved in the dance program, where she was a Repertory Dance Ensemble member and the Vice President of Endicott’s dance club (EDGE). After graduation, Brittany continued to take classes at Refine Dance Studio and is a part of the Refine Dance Company. She is excited to be a part of Refine’s faculty and to be able to share her passion for dance and fitness.

Can I do a drop-in dance class at Refine Dance Studio?
We offer a one-time per class trial before committing further. Tuition is run monthly. If ever a need to drop, we can remove you from future payments, but we do not refund in the middle of the month. Summer classes are drop-in only.
Is there a performance requirement at Refine Dance Studio?
No, participation in our Dance Concerts or The Nutty Suite is completely optional.
